The climate-controlled medicine cabinets are a good solution for Viviva Baar, as air conditioning the ward rooms would be very expensive structurally.
Viviva Baar specialises in senior living. Viviva Baar offers 4 different types of housing and thus the appropriate environment for different needs. As a result, the infrastructure of the residential facilities must also fulfil various requirements.
To ensure that the medicines stored and prepared for the residents always meet the highest standards of patient safety and the requirements of the Canton of Zug’s Medicines Inspectorate, the decision was made to replace the medicine cabinets in the ward rooms. A total of 5 climate-controlled medicine cabinets were installed in the Bahnmatt & Martinspark building.
The climate-controlled medicine cabinets are equipped with a cooling unit that regulates the temperature inside the cabinet. This means that the medication is always stored at the specified storage temperature recommended by the cantonal pharmacy and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
The climate-controlled medicine cabinets are a good solution for Viviva Baar, as air-conditioning the ward rooms would have been structurally very complex and cost-intensive. Those responsible at Viviva Baar are satisfied with this solution. “We are now optimally equipped for the changing climatic conditions and the associated regulations of the Therapeutic Products Control Authority.”
Conclusion: “We very much appreciated the co-operation with Wiegand AG, the project process and the installation of the cabinets worked out wonderfully. We are satisfied and also expect good cooling performance from the new climate cabinets in midsummer.
