Correctly storing medications - made easy
If medications are not stored properly then their ingredients can degrade, which can be dangerous for patients. For most medications, keeping them dry and maintaining a temperature of maximum +25°C room temperature is enough. This can be achieved using temperature-controlled rooms, which can be planned out and put in place for new-build projects. In the case of existing buildings, it is sometimes not possible to achieve this, or doing so may involve significant building and installation costs.
We work with you to design space-saving and accessible cabinets which allow for an easy overview of the medications you store in them, whilst ensuring compliance with the legal standards.
WIEGAND® Temperature-controlled medication cupboards
In collaboration with Koch Kälte AG, a company specialising in cooling systems for hospitals and laboratories, we have developed temperature-controlled medication cupboards. Our practical WIEGAND® Dual-Cupboards form the foundations of our system. This can then be expanded using additional cupboard elements. The dual or triple-cupboard combination includes a cooling system and specialist ventilation elements to ensure the interior of the cupboard is maintained at the required temperature. Closed doors and sliding shutters ensure the interior of the cupboard is maintained at a constant temperature, based on a target value.
